Swiss law, explained.

Swiss law, explained. I guide expats and international professionals through legal matters in Switzerland—in English, French, and Spanish. From rental and employment contracts to correspondence with authorities, you will have a direct point of contact who understands both the local system and your international perspective.

The biggest legal challenge for expats

Navigating a highly decentralized and formal system with strict administrative requirements. It is less about complex laws and more about understanding how different rules at the federal and cantonal levels interact, and ensuring that deadlines and obligations—such as permits, insurance, and taxes—are met from day one.

Common questions from expats

Do you offer legal advice in English?

Yes – consultations are available in English, French and Spanish. I regularly advise expats and international professionals in Zurich and throughout Switzerland.

I just moved to Switzerland – where do I start?

I help expats understand Swiss legal basics, review rental and employment agreements, and navigate interactions with Swiss authorities – entirely in English.

What does a consultation cost?

The fee is from CHF 300.– per hour. The initial consultation (approx. 15 min.) is free of charge.

I'm having issues with my landlord – can you help?

Yes. I'll review your lease, assess whether a termination or rent increase is lawful, and assist you in communicating with your landlord or the mediation authority.

Can I use legal expense insurance?

Yes. First, report your case to your insurance company and confirm your coverage. As long as you have a written guarantee of coverage, you bear no financial risk.
